How it Works
Touchstone Mobile is unique in the market place. Based on a J2EE SOA platform, it has been designed with multi-layer capabilities that allow it to provide the bank with the answer to its problems around Mobile Banking.
Within the product is a secure portal where all the transactional processing is carried out and the transactional data is held. This portal sits within the banks infrastructure, but outside its legacy solutions, integrating with them in a number of ways that best suit the bank and its technical architecture.
The portal provides the ability for a user to register and manage their account on-line, download applications, get support and answers to frequently asked questions and personalize their banking services.
On the bank side the portal allows administrators to manage users, access rights, STP settings for transaction processing, whether it be International or Domestic and take advantage of all of the functionality within the Touchstone Portal for a Mobile Banking user.
The portal then communicates with the mobile device using secure one-way data encryption in each direction – no data is held on the device – the transaction is processed and managed within the secure portal. A full range of security options are available such as PIN, one time passwords and card readers, variable transaction limits and Release Matrices, but uniquely, Touchstone Mobile has embedded an ID Agent that is totally secure and backed by global insurance partners.
The Integration layer within Touchstone allows it to communicate with the banks legacy systems in real time and is also capable of proving true STP of payment instructions worldwide by providing a fully formatted SWIFT message to the banks system, as well as linking to domestic clearing.
