Can it handle other message types?

Currently, no, but as part of the ongoing development of the Clarion product range we will be incorporating the ability to offer reporting and validation of payments messaging across local networks.

Not only this, but we will also be extending the functionality within Clarion in two ways to create a functionally rich Clarion E&I solution for our clients.

Firstly, Clarion Pre-Check, which is already available will be configured to monitor outbound payments from all systems if in SWIFT format, or supported local messaging networks. Messages that fail validation or STP criteria will be reported upon and are placed in a repair queue in Swift Alliance Access where they can be repaired for release. This will ensure that outbound Exceptions are minimised, saving our clients both time and money, whilst delivering enhanced customer service levels enterprise wide.

Inbound messages that cannot be credited will also be available enterprise wide with each message able to be seen in its original form, with the area for investigation being highlighted for Investigation Clerks.

Additional reporting within Clarion E&I will allow the bank to monitor the issues being created inbound and outbound whether by user, department or message type on outbound or by correspondent, message type, beneficiary etc. so that the bank has a consolidated view of MIS reporting across the institution.
